How does stock limitation affect sales in Shopify?
In Shopify, the option Continue selling when out of stock controls whether an item can still be ordered when stock runs out. Yes, you can manually export a single item to Shopify for testing purposes. Please note that this function is limited to one export every 10 minutes.How to trigger the manual export:Open the menu Setup > Markets > Shopify App > Item Export.Select the corresponding webshop (client).Enter the ID of the main item you want to export.Click on Execute.If the item and its variants meet all export conditions, they will be transferred directly to your Shopify store. Which texts do I need to maintain in the main article so that my variants are exported to Shopify?
For a successful export to Shopify, the parent article in PlentyONE must have a name (in the field "Name 1") and an article description. Do I need to assign a unique SKU to my variants for Shopify?
Yes, this is an important requirement. PlentyONE only exports a variant to Shopify if a SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) specifically for the source "Shopify" is assigned to the variant.Without this specific Shopify SKU, the variant will be ignored during export, even if all other settings are correct. Automated creation of the SKU:Open the section Setup > Wizards > Omni-Channel > Shopify Configuration > Step > Inventory Management (contains a function SKU Generator).There you can configure the automatic SKU creation for item export using VarNo/VarID/Var Model/Barcode . Why does my item exported from PlentyONE to Shopify initially appear without images and is not visible?
This is normal behaviour and not an error. The export of item data from PlentyONE to Shopify has been carried out in a two-step process since 21 May 2025, which can lead to a short delay.The process works as follows:First step: Your item is initially created in Shopify as "unpublished" and without images.Second step: Approximately 30 minutes later, a second synchronisation takes place. During this, the images are linked and the item is automatically set to "published".Afterwards, your product is fully and correctly visible in your Shopify store.
