Yes. If a variant does not appear as expected in your Shopify store, it is usually due to one of the following settings in PlentyONE. Go through this checklist point by point to find the cause.
Checklist for variant export
1. Is the variant itself active?
- Where?
Items > Items > [Open variant]in theAvailability and visibilitysection. - What? The checkbox for Active must be checked.
2. Is the sales channel "Shopify" assigned?
- Where?
Items > Items > [Open variant]in theSales channelssection. - What? The sales channel Shopify must be added.
3. Is the correct client (store) activated?
- Where?
Items > Items > [Open variant]in theAvailabilitytab. - What? The checkbox for the client connected to Shopify must be checked.
4. Is a Shopify SKU stored?
- Where?
Items > Items > [Open variant]in theAvailabilitytab,SKUsection. - What? There must be a SKU specifically for the origin Shopify.
5. Is the sales price set up correctly?
- Where?
Items > Items > [Open variant]in theSales pricessection. - What? A price must be stored in a sales price that is activated for the origin Shopify and uses the system default currency.
6. Are the item name and description present?
- Where? On the parent item (
Items > Items > [Open item]) in theTextstab. - What? The fields Name 1 and Item description must be filled in the export language.
7. Are the attribute translations complete?
- Where? Under
Setup > Items > Attributes. - What? The attribute name (e.g. "Colour") and the attribute value (e.g. "Red") must be named for the export language.
8. Are the variant limits being observed?
- Where? On the parent item (
Items > Items > [Open item]) in theVariant overviewtab. - What? According to Shopify's specification, an item may have a maximum of 100 variants.
9. Is the order origin "Shopify" active? (System setting)
- Where?
Setup > Orders > Order origin. - What? The origin Shopify must be activated in the list.
Once you have checked all points on this list, your variant should be correctly transferred to Shopify for the next export.
