This error occurs when you relist a listing (End and relist) or when the automatic relist process (CronJob) is executed. eBay expects that the variants of the ended listing do not change in order to maintain the ranking.

Solutions:

• A. Restore variants:

  • Recreate the variants in PlentyONE exactly as they were in the old, ended listing.

  • Removed variants must be added again.

  • Changed names must be reversed or mapped via an attribute mapping (Setup » Items » Attributes) for the corresponding attribute.

• B. Relist the listing (loss of ranking):

  • End the listing with the option End and delete.

  • Then relist it using the group function relist.

  • Note: This will cause your listing to lose its ranking.

Fun fact: A cron (e.g. Cron 1440 for daily) executes processes based on time. The term stands for "Command Run On Notice". You do not need to control crons yourself – in PlentyONE you simply activate the data exchange.
