You can set in the settings of your Amazon listing catalogue that only existing listings are updated and no new listings are created on Amazon. You control this via the setting Disable creation of new listings (existing listings will continue to be updated).
How the setting works
- When this setting is enabled, no new listings will be created on Amazon. If a listing from your listing catalogue does not yet exist on Amazon, it will not be uploaded.
- When this setting is disabled (default setting), both existing listings are updated and new listings are created.
- Important: The setting must be enabled or disabled separately for each listing catalogue.
Step-by-step guide to disabling listing creation
- Open the menu: Data » Catalogues.
- Open the corresponding listing catalogue for Amazon (export type
Listing). - Open the tab
settingsof the catalogue. - Find the setting
Disable creation of new listings (existing listings will continue to be updated).- Enable this setting if listings should only be updated but no new listings created.
- Disable this setting if new listings should be created on Amazon.
- Save the settings.
Impact on price and stock updates
The processes for updating prices and stock (controlled by the settings price changes and stock changes in the menu Setup » Markets » Amazon » [Open account] » Settings » Tab: Item settings) are not affected by this catalogue setting. If these specific settings are active, prices and stocks will continue to be updated on Amazon.
