If you notice that the imported order value in PlentyONE differs from the amount paid in Shopify (often exactly by the VAT rate), this is usually due to the tax configuration in the interaction between the systems.
Cause of the discrepancy
Shopify transmits the order values to PlentyONE. If the order in Shopify does not contain explicit tax data (VAT amounts), the standard logic of PlentyONE applies:
PlentyONErecognises the transmitted item prices.Since the order is marked as taxable but contains no tax information from Shopify,
PlentyONEautomatically calculates the tax rate for the order items.Result: The total amount in
PlentyONEdiffers from the original amount in Shopify.
Solution
To ensure the calculation is correct, the tax data must already be properly stored in Shopify.
Check your settings in Shopify.
Make sure that valid VAT profiles (Taxes/Duties) are stored in Shopify for all relevant shipping countries of your buyers.
Only if Shopify sends the specific tax values can PlentyONE adopt these 1:1 without performing its own recalculation.
