Description
You are using an offer catalogue, but your price does not appear on Amazon? In this FAQ, we show you how to check yourself why a price was not updated – and how to specifically fix the problem.
Requirements for price export
In order for a price to be exported to Amazon via the product catalogue, certain conditions must be met. Check the affected variant for the following points:
- The item must be assigned to a product type.
- The item must have Amazon activated as a sales channel (referrer) (e.g. Amazon Germany)
- The variant must be active.
- There must have been a price change after the last product feed was generated
- The sales price must be linked in the catalogue. You can find more detailed information on this in our manual.
- The respective product catalogue must be activated and must not be in test mode so that updates can also be made to the live data on Amazon.
🔧 Additionally, in the Amazon basic settings under Setup » Markets » Amazon » Settings tab Product Settings option Price Changes must be enabled.
Step-by-step: Check price change & track feed
1. Determine the time of the price change
Either you know yourself when the last change to the price was made or you change it yourself once again; then the price will be transmitted with the following synchronisation.
2. Open Feed UI
Go to Data » Marketplaces » Amazon » Feeds to analyse the update of the product catalogue.
3. Filter feeds
In the feed overview, you can specifically search for the relevant feeds:
- Feed type: Common listings feed
- Filter by the period corresponding to the time of the price change
- Process type: Offer catalogue update
📸 Filter view:
4. Analyse feed
The Feed UI offers you the following functions:
| Function | Description |
| 1 Request Feed Submission Result from Amazon | Requests the processing report from Amazon |
| 2 Download feed request | Shows you which data was actually transmitted |
| 3 Download Feed Submission Result | Shows you whether any error messages were generated directly by Amazon |
📸 Actions in the Feeds UI:
Understand and fix error messages
Errors reported by Amazon in the processing report must be fixed in the product catalogue itself.
Common error examples:
| Error code | Description | Cause |
| Value Missing | A value is missing for a specific field | Incorrect or no source defined in the catalogue for the corresponding field |
| Invalid Value | Invalid value | Wrong format or disallowed value |
| Missing Required Attributes | Mandatory fields missing | Incorrect or no source defined in the catalogue for the corresponding field |
Make sure that your product catalogue includes the correct price fields and is configured correctly.
