Since 1 January 2022, retailers are legally obliged to offer customers the free collection of an equivalent old appliance when delivering an electrical appliance.

Assignment of the legal attributes

On OTTO Market, you mark with the following attributes whether it is an electrical appliance and whether the old appliance collection is possible:

• Device type according to ElektroG
• WEEE Reg. No. DE

You link these attributes in the corresponding OTTO Market catalogue in the category group-related attributes section with the appropriate PlentyONE data fields.

Information on old appliance collection in the order

If a customer requests the collection of an old appliance and the order contains an electrical appliance, the following information is added in the imported order:

• An OrderItemProperty with type ID 92 is added to the corresponding order item.
• The text [incl. old appliance collection/incl. WEEE take back] is added to the item name.
