The 1:1 mapping with fallback data field assigns a primary PlentyONE data field to the sales channel data field and additionally one or more fallback data fields.
Function of the fallback data field
The system checks the first data field and continues searching if this is missing or empty for a variant.
- Process: If the first data field provides no value, the first fallback data field is checked, then the second, and so on. Only one value is always transferred.
Two fallback conditions
Two conditions are available:
- Null (default): The fallback data field is used if the data field above is assigned but not linked to the variant. (Suitable for SKU, barcodes, sales prices, properties).
- Empty: The fallback data field is used if the data field above is assigned and linked to the variant but is empty. (Suitable for automatically available
PlentyONEdata fields).
