An Amazon listing describes the complete presentation of your item on the sales channel Amazon. It contains all relevant information that Amazon needs so that your item can be found and sold, such as title, description, images, price, stock, and shipping information.
The two components of a listing
An Amazon listing consists of two clearly separated components, which are transmitted via different catalogs:
- Product data (Product)
- These describe the item itself (e.g. title, brand,
bullet points, technical details). - They are
ASIN-related and thus identical for all sellers offering the same product. - The transmission takes place via a product catalog.
