If you need to initiate a purchase cancellation on eBay as a seller yourself, you can automate this process in PlentyONE.
1. Set order status for cancellation reasons
You must assign a separate order status in PlentyONE for each possible cancellation reason you want to communicate to eBay:
Buyer's delivery address was incorrectBuyer requested to cancel the purchaseI cannot deliver the item as agreed
Tip: Use existing order statuses or create new ones (see first article on status creation).
2. Create event action(s) for the purchase cancellation
Set up a separate event action for each reason. The action Start purchase cancellation on eBay is triggered as soon as you change the order status to the corresponding reason status.
Here is the example for the reason Buyer's delivery address was incorrect:
| Setting | Option | Selection |
|---|---|---|
| Event | Order change: Status change | Select the status you assigned for the reason Buyer's delivery address was incorrect. |
| Filter 1 | Order > Order type | Order |
| Filter 2 | Order > Origin | Select the corresponding eBay origin (e.g. eBay Germany). |
| Action | Market listings > Start purchase cancellation on eBay | Select the reason: Buyer's delivery address was incorrect. |
Important: You must set up two more separate event actions for the other two reasons (Buyer requested cancellation; Item not deliverable) in the same way.
3. Start purchase cancellation
To initiate a purchase cancellation, you only need to change the order status of the relevant order:
Open the menu: Orders » Edit orders.
Select the order for which you want to start the cancellation.
Change the order status to the status you assigned for the desired cancellation reason (e.g.
Buyer's delivery address was incorrect).Save ($\text{\checkmark}$) the settings.
→ The corresponding event action will be triggered and eBay will be informed about the purchase cancellation.
