You can set up automatic email sending for order confirmations after an eBay purchase with an event-driven flow in PlentyONE Flow. This method is recommended by PlentyONE.
The principle of PlentyONE Flow
PlentyONE Flow (short: Flow) allows you to automate workflows for your business processes. The Automation menu offers two functions:
- Flow Studio: Here you create and configure automated workflows.
- Flow Tracker: Here you monitor ongoing or completed executions of the workflows.
Create event-driven flow
Perform the following steps in PlentyONE Flow Studio:
- Open the menu Automation » Flow Studio.
- Click on Create Flow (
add).- The pop-up stepper guides you through the following three steps:
1. General
- Enter a unique name and optionally a description for the new flow.
- Click on Next.
2. Trigger
- Select Event-driven as the trigger.
- Click on Next.
3. Settings
- Optionally select a UI from the dropdown list Flow available in.
- Note: Currently, only the Order UI is selectable.
- Select the event Order > Order created from the dropdown list Event selection.
- Important: If the triggering event requires further settings, these are mandatory.
- Save the settings.
- The Flow Studio Canvas appears.
Configure flow
Then configure the further steps in the canvas:
- Add a control element of the type branch.
- Select Order as the object type.
Set a filter setting for the branch to consider only eBay orders:
Filter: Order > Origin
Operator: Is in (IN)
Input field: Select the order origins for the eBay sales channels for which you want to use this flow.
- Note: If there is more than one filter, select AND as the relationship between the conditions.
- Add the action Order and within it the option Send email.
- Select the previously created email template from the dropdown list Template.
- Select Customer as the option in the dropdown list Recipient.
Save the settings.
