It can happen that the preview of your eBay layout in the PlentyONE system shows an error message (e.g. “errorpagenotfoundtitle” or 404) or the CSS on eBay is not loaded correctly. This is often due to incorrect path generation or temporary technical problems in delivering the stylesheets.
Possible Causes and Solutions
If your layout appears “broken” or the preview does not load, please check the following steps:
Exclude cache issues: Test the layout preview in an incognito window of your browser. If it is displayed correctly there, clear your browser cache.
Trigger path generation: Go to an affected listing under Sales Channels » Listings. In the Layout tab, briefly select a different template and then immediately switch back to your original template (without saving in between). Then click on the preview again. This often forces a correct reassignment of the paths.
Check domain and SSL status: Make sure your tenant (shop) is configured correctly. Under Setup » Tenant » [Select Tenant] » Domains, the status of your main domain must be set to Active and a valid SSL certificate must be stored, as the layout rendering often accesses this base URL.
Check linked attributes: If variables are used in the Texts tab of the layout that refer to deleted attributes or properties, the rendering of the preview may abort.
[!NOTE] Please note that we do not offer support for the content design or individual programming of layouts (HTML/CSS). If the above points do not solve the problem and a technical system error (e.g. a 404 error in the preview despite correct paths) occurs, please contact our support.
