No, stocks are not reserved in advance for eBay Second Chance Offer (SCO), even if you define the option Maintain minimum net stock.
Avoiding overselling
Since no reservation takes place, overselling can occur in rare cases, especially with high sales volume across multiple channels.
To avoid overselling, we recommend that you activate the End listings automatically function:
Open the menu: Setup » Listings » Stock.
Activate the End listings automatically function.
→ With this function, stocks of auctions without reservation (which also includes SCO) are checked every 15 minutes and the listings are ended as soon as the item stock reaches 0 or less.
Further notes on SCO and stock
Stock: SCO works with the sum of stocks from all warehouses. If the item is no longer available in the main warehouse but is available in another warehouse, SCO will be offered.
Variants without attribute linkage: SCO are also offered for items with variants without attribute linkage (where customers choose size/color only at checkout). PlentyONE works here with the sum of stocks of all variants.
Time interval: PlentyONE checks every 15 minutes expired auctions to see if SCO can be sent.
