With cross-selling, you have the option to display additional suitable items on eBay alongside a main item in your listing. To do this, you link the cross-selling items directly to the main item and insert the necessary template function into your layout template.

Requirements for display

For cross-selling items to be output using the template function GetCrossSellingData, the following conditions must be met:

• The cross-selling item must be linked to the main item in the menu Items » Edit Item » [Open Item] » Item tab: Cross-Selling where it is to be displayed.

• The item on which the cross-selling items are to be displayed must have an active listing..

Insert template function into layout template

You add the linked cross-selling items to your GetCrossSellingData template function in your layout template. Then you link this layout template with the desired listings.

The following data are included in the GetCrossSellingData template function and can be displayed for a cross-selling item:

• Item ID of the item in PlentyONE

• Title of the active listing

• External listing ID

• Price and currency

• Image URL and eBay URL

• Variant ID and variant number

• Account ID

Tip: Image prioritisation For single listings, the image with the lowest position linked to the listed variant is used, or the image with the lowest position not linked to any variant. For variant listings, the image with the lowest position not linked to any variant is used, or the image with the lowest position linked to one of the variants.
