When creating variant listings, you must observe the mandatory fields of the eBay characteristics. You can also provide additional information via properties and custom characteristics.
Observe mandatory fields for eBay characteristics
The mandatory fields for eBay characteristics become visible in the Marketplace tab of a listing as soon as you have saved the eBay category.
These mandatory fields depend on the selected category and require corresponding entries.
Important: Values that are already covered by the variant linkage (e.g. size or colour) must not be entered or saved here again.
Activate properties for eBay
You can use properties to describe your listings in more detail if the eBay characteristics are not sufficient.
Open the menu:
Setup » Settings » Properties » Configuration.Click on the property.
In the Visibilities section, select the origin of the desired eBay platform (e.g.
eBay Germany).Save the settings.
To use these properties in your layout template, you must insert template functions such as
GetItemPropertyV2ById(),GetItemPropertyV2ByName()andPropertyListV2()into the template.
Activate custom characteristics for eBay
To use custom characteristics for the eBay marketplace, you must activate these characteristics separately.
Open the menu:
Setup » Items » Characteristics.Expand the characteristic.
Activate the option Display as eBay characteristic.
Save the setting. → The characteristic will be displayed in the eBay characteristic list.
