If an order contains items with different, separately stored shipping profiles but is not split into separate delivery orders, this is usually due to a central setting in your PlentyONE system that allows the combination of shipping profiles within the order.
Adjust order splitting settings
To enable the automatic splitting of orders with different shipping profiles, you need to adjust the shipping calculation setting:
- Navigate in your PlentyONE system to: Setup » Orders » Shipping » Calculation.
- There you will find a setting that controls the combination of shipping profiles.
- Activate the option “Use combinations of two shipping profiles.”
IMPORTANT: Activating this setting prevents the system from automatically transferring the shipping profile of the first item to other items with a different profile in the same order. The order will then be split correctly, as the different shipping profiles will now be retained.
Background: Without the setting for combining profiles, an item adopts the shipping profile of the first item in the order instead of retaining the originally stored one. Therefore, the items appear to the system to have the same profile (e.g.
DHL), even thoughUPSwas stored for the second item. With the correct setting, the different profiles are recognised and the order is split, provided the warehouse setting "split by shipping profile" is also activated.
