You can export an image list with item or variant images to Amazon via the data field main_product_image_locator.
Step-by-step guide for mapping
- Assign the image list to the data field
main_product_image_locatoras follows:Image » Variant images » Image list, image information full-size URL- or
Image » Item images » Image list, image information full-size URL
- Additionally, enter the number of images you want to transfer from the image list under Maximum number of images.
How image transfer works
The image URLs from the image list are automatically assigned to the next available free data fields other_product_image_locator_1 through other_product_image_locator_8.
Example: If the image list contains three images, then:
- The URL of the first image is assigned to the data field
main_product_image_locator. - The URL of the second image is assigned to
other_product_image_locator_1. - The URL of the third image is assigned to
other_product_image_locator_2.
Important notes
- Skipping: If a subsequent
other_product_image_locatordata field already has an assignment, this field is skipped and the image URL is assigned to the next free field. - Maximum number: Only as many images are assigned as there are subsequent free
other_product_image_locatordata fields available (maximum 8 additional). Excess images from the image list are not transferred. - Combination of lists: If, in addition to the image list in the main data source, you assign another image list in the fallback data source, the two lists are combined into a single list. From this combined list, as many images are transferred as can fit in the catalogue.
