Complex 1:1 mappings are necessary whenever there are various possible values for a sales channel data field and you need to inform the system which of your PlentyONE values corresponds to which value of the sales channel.

Basic principle of the complex mapping

In complex mappings, you assign individual values of data fields or attributes, rather than just the PlentyONE setting itself. For example, the sales channel cannot know which PlentyONE shipping profile belongs to its shipping method, so you must explicitly map the values.

Identification: You can recognise complex mappings by the fact that there is an input field below the name of the sales channel data field. When you click in this field, the possible values for the sales channel data field are displayed (e.g. for categories, brands, shipping method).

Step-by-step guide to creation

1. Click in the input field for the sales channel data field.
   • A list of the available sales channel values will be displayed.
2. Select the sales channel value to which you want to assign a PlentyONE data field.
   • The value will be adopted.
3. Click next to the sales channel data field on + Add data field.
   • On the left, the available PlentyONE data fields are shown as groups.
4. Click on a group, then on the PlentyONE data field for which you want to assign values.
   • Important: Do not assign your own value or an attribute of the type None.
5. Depending on which PlentyONE data field you have chosen, proceed differently now (there are three options to choose from):

Important export rule

During export, always the value of the sales channel is transferred, not the value of the PlentyONE data field. Only if you enter a custom value during the mapping will this custom value be exported (which is not recommended in complex mappings).
