The behaviour for mapping item and variation images in catalogues has been updated. Previously, it was possible to transfer single images or image lists from a fallback data source for an image data field to Amazon in addition to the main data source. In such cases, the contents of both the fallback and main data sources were merged into a single list and transmitted to Amazon.
From now on, the following logic applies:
- Single images from the fallback data source will only be transferred if no mapped single image or image list can be found in the main data source. Single images from the fallback data source will no longer be transferred additionally.
- Image lists from the fallback data source are combined with the image list in the main data source into a single list if both data sources contain content. From this combined list, as many images are transferred to Amazon as the number of available following image data fields in the catalogue. Excess images will not be sent to Amazon.
Note: If you have used the previous logic to transmit multiple single images or image lists to Amazon via the fallback data source, adjust your catalogue mappings accordingly. For example, you can add the single images from the fallback data source directly to the image list in the main data source.
