To release your products for the CZ or SK platform, you create a catalogue for the respective category via the Kaufland Catalogue Assistant on the respective country platform.
The respective catalogue now has an active filter so that you can release your items for the respective platform if necessary:
As long as the (main) origin "Kaufland" is used for your variants, release from the origin "Kaufland DE", "Kaufland SK" or "Kaufland CZ" is not necessary, as the origin "Kaufland" includes all 3 country platforms (of course, however, a catalogue must also be available and linked to this via a property before products can be exported according to the country).
How does the translation of product information work?
Kaufland offers its own translation service, which can be used if you only have your product information in German. To use this service, the field "Language of plentymarkets product data" must be correctly applied in the catalogue.
Possible values:
- "de" (used for the classic export on Kaufland.de and when products are to be translated)
- "sk" (used when the products are already translated for sk)
- "cz" (used when the products are already translated for cz)
- no assignment (used when the products are already translated for sk/cz - similar to "sk"/"cz", see the possibilities 1 & 2 below)
Option 1)
used when the translation service is to be used:
The assignment was made with the value "de" → the system checks based on the EAN whether there is already a product with the German language. If yes, an offer for the marketplace sk or cz is created and the product data is translated into the respective language.
If there is no product with the German language, the product is first created in German (the data comes from the DE catalogue) and then translated into the respective language.
Subsequently, the offer is created and updated via the respective catalogue (sk or cz).
These data must be stored at least in the catalogue for sk or cz marketplaces:
- Offer data (this includes all fields in the area Offer data)
- Condition
- Shipping profile
- Stock
- EAN (barcode)
The product data (except the EAN) does not have to be maintained as it comes from the DE catalogue.
The message "At least one mandatory field has not been filled in." can be ignored when saving, as the catalogue is still saved.
Option 2)
used when your products are already translated for sk/cz:
If this field remains empty/unassigned → the system assumes that the product data to be transmitted is transferred in the respective country language of the catalogue. So if your product information is only maintained in German, this must not be applied! (Exception: it is a DE catalogue)
TIP: you can apply this option if you are sure that all your products from this catalogue are always translated by you (optional see option 3)
Option 3)
used when your products are already translated for sk/cz:
The assignment was made with the value "sk" or "cz" → your product information has been translated by yourself.
TIP: you can apply this option if some products of this catalogue have been translated by you, but other products of the same catalogue should use Kaufland's translation service. For this case, you can maintain the value, for example, via a property. Variants that are already translated then receive the value "sk" or "cz". Variants that are delivered in German and thus should be translated by Kaufland receive the value "de". (Optional see option 2)
Info: For a change of the product data in the respective product language, the German product data must be updated accordingly. Kaufland will then translate the content again into the respective language after a short time.
