In order for a shipping profile (hereafter SP) to be determined for an order, all settings must be correctly configured and the SP must be activated on the item.
The following settings should be checked first
- Is the shipping profile active on the item?
- Is the destination country / shipping region active in the postage table of the shipping profile?
- Are client and order origin active on the SP?
- Are the shipping group / customer classes not blocked on the SP?
- Is the loyalty programme active? (Makes the SP available only for orders with the respective loyalty programme)
-
For orders created via a loyalty programme (e.g. Amazon Prime, eBay Plus), at least one new shipping profile must be created, which will only be usable for this programme.
Shipping profiles where a loyalty programme has been selected here can only be used for marketplace orders and not for the webshop (HB: § 8. Create shipping profile, Table 5).
-
- Is there a restriction in the postage table (e.g. weight restriction)?
- Is age verification active on the item? (Postident must be activated on the SP)
- Are payment methods not blocked on the shipping profile?
- Is the payment method active for the customer class?
- Is the destination country active in the payment method (e.g. in the assistant)?
Important:
- In the old logic (if the new shipping calculation is inactive) if you set up several shipping profiles with different settings in the postage table (calculation type and restriction type) and assign them to different categories under Base Settings, this can lead to an error in the old calculation.
Please use either one calculation type and/or restriction type or the categorisation – this way you avoid the error and set up the settings so that only the relevant shipping profiles are determined for the order.
- Also note that the shipping profile on the order can only be changed/updated if there is no invoice present.
- If it concerns an eBay order: there are two variants of how the shipping profile determination logic can work. If the shipping profiles are selected under Setup -> Markets -> eBay -> Settings -> Shipping Profile Links, the regular shipping profile determination logic no longer applies. The shipping profile that is fixed under these settings will be determined. However, if these settings are not maintained, the regular shipping profile determination logic applies.
In the new calculation
- it is possible to get a combination of a maximum of two shipping profiles if "Use combinations of two shipping profiles" is active.
- if the item positions on the order have a common shipping profile, it will always be prioritised and determined. Combinations of shipping profiles with higher priorities / lower categories will not be determined in this case.
- if no fallback profile is set up and no valid shipping profile / no combination of two valid shipping profiles is determined, an error message will appear. It is highly recommended to set up at least one fallback profile for each client.
