The DocumentBuilder has a new pick list variable, Order item item description. It prints the name of the order item itself. Order items without a variation, such as free-text positions, now show a name on the pick list.

How it works

• Add the variable to the item table widget of a pick list template, like any other pick list item variable.
• It shows the item name stored on the order item, not the name of a variation.
• You can also use it in document generation restrictions.

Good to know

• Order items without a variation or SKU assignment have no data from a variation. The existing item name variables stay empty for them. The new variable fills this gap.
• Existing templates stay unchanged. The new variable only appears where you add it.
• If an item has no name, the field stays empty.
